Let's see, we've got an actor who irritates a lot of people, and a director who's only ever directed TV episodes. If those of you who saw this coming would please raise your hands…
The only question remaining is whether or not this be better or worse than The Grinch. Of course, being better than that defiling of childhood memories isn't all that much to brag about.
Actually, I just looked it up and it seems The Grinch managed a 53% rating. I'm surprised.
That's too bad. It would be nice if Dr. Suess could be adapted to a new media. Then again, forcing kids to read a little wouldn't be that bad, either.
I've lost all faith in Hollywood being able to successfully adapt just about anything to a new medium.
Hell, I've pretty much lost faith in them being able to reinterpret one film into another film.
