I've Got Diplomatic Immunity, So Hammer, You Can't Sue
I'm going to be running a game of Diplomacy with some friends (located here and in Toronto) sometime in the near future (ie within the next month). However, we are at least 3 (and possibly 4) people short to have a game. Therefore, if you're interested in playing, let me know. All relevent information will be posted on the site for it , and those who don't understand the game can follow the links on that site to the rules and various online resources.
One point for the title. Now do the bump!
I downloaded the PDF. But then I saw that it was 24 pages long, and stopped. Is this game ridiculously complicated?
And you have an extraneous <p> tag in your post.
As for the title... I googled it, but I'll let other non-cheating people get the points for it.
The game is sort of complicated. It relies mainly on deals you make with other people, there being no cards, no dice, etc.
I've actually never played it before, which is why I posted this here, rather than using one of the online game finder services.
And, for the record, most of the 24 pages is concerned with explaining just what happens if everything conspires to give certain move combinations plus several turns of an example game.
...I'm not making this sound any better, am I?
I just seems like something I wouldn't enjoy... I've never been very good at these diplomatic games. I tend to assume that everyone should just get along and try to be happy, rather than trying to win.
You wouldn't get along with some of the people that I'm trying to rope into playing then. Some of them are pretty damned competetive.
Title: Peter Griffin from Family Guy sings it when he declares the seperation of his yard from the united states and starts his own country.
That is, of course, correct. Do you have a website I should link to, or should I just leave your entry in the score column linkless?
I do now... http://dirkdeadeye.ath.cx/~ryan/
Done and done. Welcome to the score chart.
