I'm Fixin' To R-U-N-N-O-F-T
While you're reading this, I'm on my way to visit my brother in sunny Texas — home of George Bush, guns, steaks, guns, 3 of the 10 fattest cities in America*, guns, and probably some other things I can't be bothered to look up.
My bags are packed, the URLs switched back over to the DynDNS one (in case my IP changes while I'm gone), the pets have lots of food (or are with someone else), and I've read the Government of Canada provided list of what to do if I get in trouble with the law. Of course, the latter probably won't ever need to get used—I'll likely get shot first.
See y'all in a week. Yee haw!
* For the curious, I'm off to city #6.
Texas isn't all bad. Austin (#19 on the fittest list) was a pretty great city overall. If you get a chance to stop by there (which you almost certainly won't), make sure you see the bat bridge.
I actually have no idea where I'll end up. The plans are to do something with my brother for Memorial Day weekend, then it's time for whatever, since he has to work for the rest of the week.
Unfortunately, I'm still in the Halifax airport, and won't actually be leaving until 15:30 or so. That, of course, is assuming that the new plane also doesn't have any mechanical difficulties that cancels the flight. (And I got up at 04:00 just to make sure I made that one on time!)
Yay for Internet cafes, boo for fog, tiredness, and airlines.
