Firefox 3.0 Planned Features
The preliminary list of planned features for Firefox 3.0 was released yesterday. Ignoring the fact that the features list really sounds more like it should be Firefox 2.1 than 3.0, there was one that caught my eye. It's down at the very bottom of the "Highly Desirable Features" list:
- Move Help content to web
- FR: remove client-side documentation and replace with links to online documentation
Am I the only one who sees a problem here? "Hrm. Firefox doesn't seem to want to display any websites, well I'll just open up the help file and…"
Odd design decisions combined with what I feel to be general bloat and feature-creep (I moved from Mozilla to Firefox just so that I could avoid the feature-creep) are making me think about Opera more and more.
