Bloody 'ell!
g026r@hermod:/usr/lib/cgi-bin$ sudo rm test * rm: cannot remove `test': No such file or directory g026r@hermod:/usr/lib/cgi-bin$ ls g026r@hermod:/usr/lib/cgi-bin$
This is why you shouldn't write up test scripts in your main CGI directory, folks.
Expect the page to look a little wonky for a while, since I'm not going to bother trying to fix it until tomorrow at the earliest.
Update: Everything should be working again. Thankfully most of the scripts were just variations of the same thing. I think I actually managed to fit a few extra SpeedyCGI improvements into them too.
All I can say is that I'm glad it was just stuff like this, and not like a certain friend of mine who managed to type rm * .class a few days before the assignment was due.
Daily backups, good sir. Daily backups.
I managed to delete my careful financial records for the entire summer a couple days ago. But I only lost a couple of transactions (which were easily re-doable) thanks to making a daily backup.
Also, what's with the username "g026r"?
Would you believe it's my UNB login ID?
I use it as I like to keep a consistent login name across domains whenever possible.
Daily backups are an idea, I should set up a cron script to do something with that.
I can send you my daily backup scripts, if you want. They're not very complicated, but they would save you a little time.
I'd appreciate it.
You still have my email address?
