18 Germinal CCXIII (April 7, 2005)

(System Stuff) RAM Upgrade

Thanks to Greg, I've more than quadrupled the amount of memory in this machine.  Hopefully this will result in faster loading times.  That said, this RAM hasn't really had much stress-testing done on it, so let me know if you get any odd errors.

After 3 days, I finally got my tangerine iMac to limp through 45 loops of memory testing!  Now I can be assured that my quadruple amount of RAM works fine.

Is that 3 days for just the 45 loops, or 3 days after all the cutting, swapping in, swapping out, and what not?

That was 3 days of dedicated RAM testing.  Whew!

Ummmm... Yeah... I think I'll stick with my "let me know if anything odd happens" + occasionally checking the system logs.
